Ann Arbor, Michigan – Cybernet Systems Corporation, a leading defense, robotics, engineering, cyber security and simulation systems development company, today announced that it has been awarded a U.S. Patent for its Distributed Computing Environment.  The new patent is the 38th in Cybernet Systems’ growing library of innovative technology patents, and has been designated number 8,463,839 by the U.S Patent Office.

Cybernet’s Distributed Computing Environment is a smart context sensitive implementation of multi-cast messaging that supports distributed content distribution especially for massive multiplayer online gaming. Modeled after the Defense Department’s High Level Architecture for distributed interactive simulation applications, this technology allows centrally managed, peer-to-peer game connections that scale up to indefinite numbers of players.
