Ann Arbor, Michigan – Cybernet Systems Corporation, a leading defense, robotics, engineering, cybersecurity and simulation systems development company, today announced award of an Interactive Instructor for Shipboard Technicians development contract from the US Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command.

The goal of this project is the creation of an Interactive Instructor that provides an interface for interactive instruction. The Interactive Instructor system takes as its input the expert ship maintenance knowledge in the form that it resides, including and especially natural language.

We then will enhance freely available Turing test and utterance technology to generate dynamic, contemporaneous dialogues that allow the technician to present information and ask questions in a manner they would normally present to human shore-based experts, and receive interactive responses that provide the technician resolution of problems based on learned  expert solutions.
