Ann Arbor, Michigan - Cybernet Systems Corporation, a leading defense, engineering, and simulation systems development company, today announced that they have been awarded a contract from the U.S. Navy to develop a MEMS Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) Weapon Orientation unit.

Cybernet is currently working with the U.S. Navy to demonstrate that multiple MEMS devices can be arrayed to provide a low cost, solid state inertial guidance capability that improves accuracy.  This technology is applicable to UAVs, UGVs, and UUVs that require location information between fixes from GPS or other overwatch sensors. Cybernet’s small, low power, and low cost Inertial Measurement and Magnetometer Module (I3M) device is being used to demonstrate dynamic self-calibration and arraying that scales to the Navy’s navigational accuracy requirements.
