Under the National Advanced Mobility Consortium, Cybernet is leveraging artificial intelligence to develop both an untagged gesture recognition interface and a voice recognition system to support human computer interaction for Army soldiers.

“Whether the soldier is outdoors or in a combat vehicle, the environment for using hand gestures and voice commands is a complex, cluttered, and noisy environment. Techniques for human-computer interaction that work fine in the laboratory or even a home environment will not work in the battlefield,” explains Charles J. Cohen, Cybenret’s Chief Technology Officer. “Our goal to leverage advanced machine vision and artificial intelligence techniques to allow for accurate and robust human-computer interaction in operational environments.”
