inventor-driven intellectual property auctions, featuring the work of Dr. Charles Jacobus / Cybernet Systems
Corporation. The auction will showcase 11 diverse patent portfolios, with a bidding deadline of December 10th, 2015.

The auction will feature 89 assets distributed across 11 highly relevant portfolios in the fields of cybersecurity,
distributed networking, gesture recognition, medical data and instrumentation, personal health monitoring, nondestructive testing, parachutes, robotics, and driverless vehicles – the results of decades of work by Dr. Jacobus and the entire Cybernet team.

Charles J. Jacobus, Ph.D., has performed and directed research and development in sensors, computer systems, robotics, medical devices and artificial intelligence for more than 30 years. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana. He previously headed the NASA Center for Commercial Development of Autonomous and Man-Controlled Robotic and Sensing Systems in Space (CAMRSS).

Dr. Jacobus co-founded Cybernet Systems Corporation in 1988, where he has played a key role in Cybernet's
growth from a two-person R&D company to a mixed commercial product and R&D company with
approximately 50 employees today. Their collective efforts have resulted in bringing multiple next-generation
technologies to market.

Many of the technologies offered for sale in the auction can be found in contemporary products, and many will
play a role in the next wave of Internet of Things, Big Data/Medical Data, and intuitive interfaces. These issued
and fundamental assets have been cited thousands of times collectively in patent applications by Microsoft,
Google, Sony, Apple, Abbott Labs, Boston Scientific, Robert Bosch, Sanofi, Qualcomm, and dozens of other
technology companies.

The inventor-driven auction is an opportunity to showcase the inventions of high-profile inventors, whose work
may be of interest to the marketplace by virtue of its authorship in addition to its technical merit. ICAP Patent
Brokerage has offered a variety of auction types in the past year, including Financial and Internet of Things

Ann Arbor, Michigan - Cybernet Systems Corporation, a leading defense, robotics, engineering, cyber security and simulation systems development company, today announced award of an IDIQ with the US Army for Automated Tactical Ammunition Classification Systems (ATACS) and Small Brass Sorters (SBS) that includes task order for eight new machines, upgrades for fielded machines, and systems support.  ATACS machines inspect turn-in small caliber rounds from 50 cal down to 4.6mm for as-manufactured quality, corrosion, and round lot/size/type.  Reclaimed turn-in rounds are re-lotted for use in training saving millions of dollars per month for the Army bases employing the technology.  SBS machines perform Army mandated visual inspection of spend cartridges and cases so that they can be resold or reused.  The case is the single most expensive part of small caliber munitions so this inspection supports the dual goals of allowing the Army to safely resell spent cartridges to defray other expenses and assures that cases to be sold a fully spent and safe for reuse.
