Enhanced GPS/INS Tracking and Vehicle Dynamics Monitoring System
The goal of this contract was show feasibility of Cybernet's IMU to gather vehicle dynamic information. This vehicle dynamic information is applied to ground damage models developed by the Construction and Engineering Laboratory (CERL) branch of the Army's Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). These ground damage models measure the damage done by vehicles to the land during training sessions. The output of the ground damage models helps the Army maintain its 25 million acres of land. Additionally, the IMU is also fitted with a tracking system so that military leaders can monitor the training exercises as they are happening.
