Implementation of a Three - Dimensional Mapping / Inspection System for Inside-Tank or Containment Areas

Cybernet developed a Moir sensor head design and conceptual plan for robotic positioner to allow inspection of the inside areas of tanks & containment areas to check for leaks. The sensor consisted of a 3-D contouring data capture system accurate to greater than 2 mm that is based on Moir interferometry. The conceptual system used color CCD cameras and multi-spectral data capture technology to address wider areas than are covered by traditional nondestructive inspection techniques.
