Implementation of a Three - Dimensional Mapping / Inspection System for Inside-Tank or Containment Areas

Cybernet developed a 3D sensor designed for insertion into an underground storage tank/containment area that provides wide field-of-regard detection of flaws and corrosion within the tank walls. A telerobotic positioning system was developed which addresses all the technical challenges associated with narrow openings, obstructions, and remote navigation.
