Cybernet completed a technology study of multispectral imaging techniques to determine how best to provide additional selectable frequency bands, improved signal-to-noise ratio, higher spatial resolution, larger field of view, and improved reliability relative to vibration and temperature. This study involved a comprehensive review of the technical tradeoffs between multiple focal plane/fixed filter; single focal plane and switched filter; and computerized tomographic imaging spectrometer. A detailed study of the client’s existing technology was performed and an upgrade program was designed using single focal plane/switched filter MS. A prototype system was developed.
