Cybernet advanced the development of computed tomographic imaging spectrometry technology by developing a parametric performance model for development sensors. Based in MathCAD, the model allows easy evaluation of different sensor configurations and was used to optimize Cybernet’s prototype device. The device features a single-phase grating, makes optimum use of existing photosites, and maximizes free spectral range to produce a central undistorted panchromatic image surrounded by multiple spectrally rich images. Operating speed is approximately 30 images over a range of 400-700 nm. Cybernet also developed an enhanced calibration method that facilitates high-throughput testing.
